The traveling glass cheeseburger • Murano

The Glass Art Society Conference 2018 was held on the island of Murano.  We hopped on the foot ferry in the morning for a full day in Murano.  We had the incredible good fortune to see Venini.  Glass artist Angelo Pinzan, with Venini since 1987, was featured the day we walked in.  On Fondamenta Dei Vetrai, the ancient and revered Barovier & Toso opened its doors to our wandering feet.  The glass creations of Barovier & Toso date back to 1324.  That’s 1324.  This family is serious business when it comes to glass.  I spent the afternoon trying to educate myself as much as I could in one day on the history of Barovier & Toso.  Here is their link:

Little cheesy had a big day – time to cool off near the water.
